Bundled with LeSysBot
temperature
CPU and GPU temperatures, straight from the kernel.
Install#
Nothing to do — this package ships inside LeSysBot and is available as soon as the installer finishes.
To copy it somewhere else, or pin it into another machine's tools dir:
lesysbot install lesysbot/lesysbot/tools/temperatureTools#
This package exposes 1 tool.
temperature()#
Report every CPU and GPU temperature this machine exposes, grouped by chip.
Parameters
Takes no parameters.
Notes#
- CPU readings — and AMD, Intel and nouveau GPU readings — come from the kernel's hwmon interface at /sys/class/hwmon, so there is no external binary and no pip dependency.
- NVIDIA's proprietary driver does not publish temperatures through hwmon, so nvidia-smi is queried as well whenever it is on PATH.
- Boards that expose the CPU only as a thermal zone rather than an hwmon chip (common on ARM single-board computers) are covered by a /sys/class/thermal fallback, consulted only when hwmon turned up no CPU reading.
- This package replaces the separate cpu-temp and gpu-temp packages — one call now answers “how hot is it?” for both.

Every package is a folder holding a README.md and a tool.py. Read this one on GitHub: lesysbot/lesysbot/tools/temperature.
